Built in the XIIIth century, the château de Méridon will first serve as a wildlife preserve to King Louis XV. It will then become the treasured hunting fief of the highest members of French aristocracy.
From the 1900's on, the château will see a diversity of owners and tenants starting with Henry White, the American ambassador in France.
It will become a landmark of the Chevreuse Valley under the supervision of Mrs Sullivan, a wealthy American lady who will elevate the château to the highest standards - especially its gardens.
She will host dinners and parties for family and friends among the American high society.
After WW2, the château will be used by the Dutch government as a shelter for nationals willing to establish themselves in France.
In 2013, the château de Méridon will be privatised to host weddings and professional events.
A management change in 2022 will allow Château de Méridon to turn a new page with a strong vision: to live a unique experience.
To successfully carry out this new project, extensive redevelopment work took place between November 2022 and April 2023. The goal was to restore the estate's original elegance and refinement.

A second and smaller 200 sqft room is usually used as a photo booth or a small salon.
The sumptuous ballroom is where the dancing party takes place and can be transformed as you please, should you wish to have dinner inside the castle or for a big meeting room.
The royal feast, prepared by our talented Chef, is mostly taken in our spacious 1900 sqft tent.
From 2023 on, the Château de Méridon will be able to accommodate up to 35 people in 12 luxury bedrooms.

Inspired by Mrs Sullivan - a rich American aristocrat and tenant of the castle in the 20's, our interior design reflects the chic and refinement of this era.
You will be able to fully enjoy the castle and its breathtaking views, from the comfort of your luxury bedroom or one of our magnificent salons.
Since April 2023, all our rooms have been renovated to offer you the ultimate comfort. Twelve suites and luxury rooms are available to our guests, allowing us to accommodate up to 35 people overnight.
Inspired by Art Deco, our new rooms have been meticulously designed by our artistic director, with the guiding theme being the most glorious period of Château de Méridon under the auspices of Lady Sullivan, an American aristocrat.
The noblest materials have been selected for our rooms and their bathrooms: marbles from Italy, carefully chosen or custom-made furniture, prestigious fabrics and wallpapers, bedding reminiscent of Château de Méridon: royal.
The Royal Suite is a timeless experience; immerse yourself in its Chambon blue while relaxing on one of its balconies overlooking our boxwood park. Take a bath in the tub installed in the room, overlooking the Forest of Méridon; let yourself escape in front of a green setting extending to infinity.
